Mail settings changed - didn't do anything!!!

Hey Apple -

With all the profits you're reeling in from the iPhone and iPad, how about uhhhhh, ummmm, maybe invest innnn, ummmmmm, S O F T W A R E!!! WTF Apple, you're products are supposed to simplify my life not complicate it.

Today - still life with Mac, presents the email mystery.

Email from my corporate account.....doesn't work!!!

I call go daddy where it's hosted. Their servers are up and running.
I could send email from their Web based mail system.
So MAC, WFT settings did you tweak to F' up my mail???

So that was problem one.

Problem two.

I have several email address. Some corporate, some personal, some test accounts.
In MacMail, I have the setting in Mail preferences/composing "Send new messages from....." and I had it selected to "Account of selected mailbox". Does it do that?
NO!!! WTF, what did you do apple to F' this up???

It defaults to another email in my corporate account, not the one from the selected mailbox.

I have had to go in a manually enter 1 mailbox, which means for my other 6 accounts, I have to manually change the mailbox from which I'm sending an email.

What else can I say. Apple, for the love of everything holy, focus on some robust software for a change. You're designers are way ahead of the rest of the company. I can have the coolest looking product, but if it F's up all the time, I"m going to have to look for another company!!!

Get it together Jobs!

Copy and Paste - Power Point - Another cockup!!!

WTF?????
I have PowerPoint open and am working on a slide. I have a browser open, from which I'm trying to copy text. I highlight the text, use the Command C short cut to copy, go to my slide in powerpoint, and the slide them pre-formated box, click next to the bullet, then hit Command V to paste the text and.........nuthin.
The I use my mouse, right click to paste and.........nuthin.

I have to delete the box.
I have to click Text box, create another box that isn't formatted like the rest of the presentation, the USE MY MOUSE to right click to paste. I can't even use the Command V short cut. Apple, what in god's green earth goes on there? Or is this Microsoft. Fellas, c'mon, play nice together. Somebody some where freakin figure this out. Another day I'm sorry plopping down the extra 40% to buy a mac!!!!

Calendar.....don't get me started!!!!!

So, source of immediate frustration.
In the Calendar view, to the right of the calendar is the To Do field.

In the upper left is a list of Calendars.

I highlight a field "Calls"

on the right side in the To Do window, I double click the screen to get a new to do item, in the "Calls" calendar (why are to do's listed as calendars in the first freakin place anyway????).

Naturally, rather than have a Calls to do pop up, I get another calendar. Making me go in to the open window and manually change back the calendar type to what I want.

Does anyone at Apple actually use their software? Do they have a clue?
Maybe it's me. Totally plausible. But for now, let's assume no. Let's assume that when you have one calendar highlighted and you go to add another item, it's in that calendar NOT another one!!!

My ongoing astonishment and frustration with Mac's Calendar and iPhone is that the iPhone doesn't sync to do's. WTF????? Really??? Like I said, does anyone at Apple actually use this software? Are they not aware how off base this is?

I can't reply? Another email issue

My daily frustration.

Today, as I've had on other days but now feel compelled to write about it, I can't reply to an email, with a message in the body. That is, the original content of the email. I don't know if this is a Mac Mail thing, or a GoDaddy thing, where my domain is hosting, but it's freakin frustrating.

So, someone emails me. Could be a form note, email newsletters, whatever. I hit reply, type a message, hit send.

What happens, the message hangs then I get a message asking what server to send it from. I click the one I was trying to send it from, and then I keep getting the same message over and over. Why Apple why????

Can't I just reply to an HTML email? A newsletter? Why????

You're killin me, softly, daily.

I can't even copy the body of the email and create a new message, it won't let me send a message out that way. Another massive PITA from Apple. Fire a few designers, hire a few usability experts.
